EASY STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE

1 loaf frozen pound cake, thawed
3 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
Sugar
Vanilla Bean ice cream
Cool Whip
Powered sugar

PREPARATION:
Sprinkle sliced strawberries with sugar, stir and chill (Add a little water if too dry). Slice pound cake, place piece on serving plate, top with a scoop or two of ice cream, top with strawberry mixture and a dollop of whip cream. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve immediately. You can make your own pound cake instead of using the frozen version if you'd like, but the frozen one (I love Sara Lee) is so good, why bother? Serves 8
